Teebot, the robot that allows children from the age of four years old, to learn the basics of programming and robotics, had its presentation at Yachay City.
Before the official presentation of the robot at the Innopolis Entrepreneurship Center, children in the first level of school at the Escuela General Básica Abdón Calderón de Urcuquí, received a small workshop on the basics of Teebot. The excitement and curiosity in each of them was evident and they as what they were shown more, they became more interested in being part of this project.
Hector Rodriguez, CEO of Yachay Public Company, gave welcoming remarks to this presentation, revealing the commitment of Yachay Public Company, to consolidate the innovation ecosystem of Ecuador with a large network of entrepreneurs.
“With great pride we present the first offshoot of Yachay, Teebot, a robot showing that our country can create, innovate and make our children think that technology is a means to generate the good life”.
To conclude this presentation, in appreciation and support for the creation of the first educational robot, developed and assembled in Ecuador, Sofia Sangoquiza and Nicolás Domínguez, part of the first generation Robotics Club, named Hector Rodriguez as an honorary member of this club.
For awakening the knowledge of children, Rodriguez said today the world is presented with a quality product, which is in the incubation process as a company, but has the ability to escalate and become a development tool for children’s minds.
Flor Maria Intriago, a mother looked happy with this initiative, and mentioned that through this experience, her son Ronaldo Morales, 10 years old, showed his creativity and ability to create. She hopes Yachay City, continues to support Urcuquí children.
A project has evolved
This robot was born from the “Retos Yachay 2013″ program, which had the main aim of disseminating challenges and getting development offers through the talent of young technology enthusiasts in the Campus Party 2013.
Clear Minds Consultants, participated in the category of home automation, and thanks to all the effort put into this project, were winners. This allowed them to receive advice, support and a network of important contacts of different actors in the area of entrepreneurship at the Ecuadorian level, through Yachay Public Company.
Three weeks ago it was one of the winning projects of the Bank of Ideas (SENESCYT) event in Guayaquil with the presence of Mr. Vice President Jorge Glas, receiving seed capital to continue the momentum of this project.

This product has a software interface created by Ecuadorians and electronics has a 90% national component, that is why Santiago Mosquera, general manager of Clear Minds Consultants, said Teboot, is more than a robot “it is a toy that will change the way Ecuador and Latin American children learn through technology “.
Children can develop soft skills such as creativity, adaptability, communication, teamwork and leadership. Technical skills such as programming; mathematics, electronics, science and technology (STEM); power of assimilation; auto correction.
