Yachay Public Company closed computer course “Informatics I” benefiting 131 adolescents, youth, adults and seniors, communities and neighborhoods in the surrounding area of the City of Knowledge.
What’s more, the manager of the Department of Education, Science and Technology at Yachay Public Company, Juan Carlos Moreno, inaugurated the new course “Informatics II” for 64 people and another “Informatics I” course for 90 people. “Yachay Public Company is a facilitator in the process of training and development of human talent. Nowadays, everyone manages a computer or operating systems and it is important that we are informed of the potential that can be developed through technology”, said Moreno moments before the first delivery of certificates to all participants.
Enrique Pujota, spoke on behalf of the beneficiary community and requested to continue providing this opportunity especially to young people because it creates and strengthens the knowledge to use tools.
The director of the school, Abdón Calderón, Ligia Portilla, was thankful for this initiative on behalf of the 51 teachers who also trained in courses. “This allows us to enrich the body of knowledge in technology that is part of education and society,” she said.
Meanwhile, the trainer, Fabian Criollo, announced that in the computer course “Informatica II”, which starts on December 6, issues such as internet platforms that will solve daily problems will be addressed. On the other hand, stressed the citizen enthusiasm; “I want to congratulate you for the enthusiasm with which they participate and ask them to remain in the new courses,” he said.
In this sense, Urcuqui locals, Patricia Colimba and Alexandra Chiran said that they want to be in the new course to upgrade their skills, find a better job and develop their quality of life.
