Criteria on bioethics, integrity in scientific research, national and international regulatory frameworks are discussed today and tomorrow at the Second International Workshop on Bioethics and Integrity in Research.
The Yachay Public Company and the State University of New York Upstate Medical University developed this training space and scientific discussion for researchers and university students on the ethical principles that should guide the research process.
“Yachay Public Company facilitates these spaces for dialogue on bioethics research because we believe that a very important opportunity for science and technology policy is developing, which contributes to strengthening the processes of scientific research in the country,” said Juan Carlos Moreno, Yachay Public Company, Manager of Education, Science and Technology.
Topics like responsible research conduct, good clinical practice and regulatory considerations in Ecuador, opportunities and challenges in clinical trials, and creating environments to prevent misconduct in research in universities and laboratories, among others, will be discussed during this workshop.

Among the speakers are professionals from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University (SUNY UMU), Ecuadorian Society of Bioethics, National Bioethics Commission on Health, Carlos Andrade Marín Hospital, and Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health. (SA / YACHAY-EP)
